Unidentified Halifax near Sutton on the Forest.

Claimed to have been on 22nd October 1944 an unidentified Halifax was taking off from East Moor airfield when it struck a lorry that was travelling along a road. The aircraft must have been using the East-West runway and struck the lorry on the road heading south from Sutton on the Forest because the aircraft is said to have crash landed / ran through into the fields to the south of Sutton Hall. This incident may relate to the same incident involving pilot Tony Tinmouth earlier in the year.

There is no AM Form 1180 for a flying accident at East Moor on this date that would fit for this incident being on this date, given the damage must have been at least Cat.Ac there should be one if the date is correct.
