Unidentified Spitfire at Sherburn in Elmet airfield.
On 13th March 1944 this aircraft was in the care of No.7 Ferry Pilot Pool of the ATA when it crashed on the runway at Sherburn in Elmet airfield at 14.00hrs. Nothing more about the incident is yet known.
