On the night of 2nd / 3rd August 1943 the crew of this 18 O.T.U. aircraft undertook a night-time leaflet dropping "nickel" operational flight and had taken off just before midnight. During the course of the flight the aircraft received a damaged main plane with the damage caused by enemy action. The crew landed safely at base of Finningley.
