At 02.25hrs on 18th April 1943 this 18 Operational Training Unit aircraft landed at Finningley airfield but the starboard undercarriage then collapsed causing minor damage.
Crew - Names unknown.
Wellington Z1313 was built by Vickers Armstrong and was received by 23 MU on 30th September 1941. It was taken on charge by 18 O.T.U. at Finningley on 24th October 1942.
Cat.Ac/FA damage as a result of the crash on 18th April 1943 with the assessment being made four days later. It was repaired on site by a team from Vickers at Weybridge and was returned to 18 OTU on 29th March 1943. On 3rd June 1943 a further repair on site was made by a team from Vickers at Weybridge though no accident damage is recorded on the aircraft's AM Form 78 against this date. The aircraft was returned to 18 O.T.U. two days later. On 11th June 1943 it was transferred to 104 O.T.U. and was destroyed on 24th November 1943 in a crash.
