Spitfire W3604 at Church Fenton airfield.
At 22.30hrs on 17th June 1943 315 Squadron Spitfire W3604 landed at Church Fenton airfield following a ferry flight but on landing it collided with Spitfire AR434. AR434 also had a pilot in it but the pilot of W3604 was deemed at fault.

Josef Fudala was killed on 23rd February 1944 flying 3 Squadron Typhoon EK370. He is buried at Adegem Canadian War Cemetery, Belgium.
