Spitfire W3118 at Church Fenton.
During the afternoon of 14th June 1943 this 288 Squadron aircraft was flown on an army co-operation exercise that lasted twenty minutes. After landing at Church Fenton airfield at 14.10hrs the aircraft was found to have damaged undersurfaces. How the damage was caused is not stated on the AM Form 1180.
