At 13.00hrs on 17th August 1943 the Hurricane was struck by Martinet MS628 at Sherburn in Elmet airfield and was slightly damaged.
No pilot.
The Form AM-78 states that this aircraft had a long service history. Prior to August 1943 it had served with 318 Squadron from March 1943 and on 10th August 1943 it was passed to 59 OTU but whether it actually got there is unlikely. It may have been in the care of the ATA at the time of the collision on 17th August 1943. It was repaired and passed to 63 OTU in February 1944.
