Beaufighter T4755 was built to contract B.41906/39 by Fairey Aviation Ltd. at Heaton Chapel, Stockport. The aircraft was initially flown to 51 at Lichfield on 2nd August 1941 and was then taken on charge by 235 Squadron at Dyce on 21st August 1941. It was then tranferred to 143 Squadron at Dyce on 28th August 1941 and moved to Sumburgh with them on 29th September 1941 and Aldergrove on 14th December 1941. On 23rd December 1941 it was transferred to 236 Squadron at Carew Cheriton. This unit then moved to Wattisham on 9nd February 1942, Oulton on 3rd July 1942 and North Coates on 19th September 1942. On 20th December 1942 the aircraft was transferred to No.2 (C)O.T.U. at Catfoss. On 20th February 1943 Cat.Ac/FA damage resulted, probably at Catfoss, and it was repaired on site. On 12th December 1943 a Cat.Ac damage assessment was made against it which may have been a result of a flying mishap but there is nothing listed in the unit records that fit. It was again repaired on site and returned to the unit. On 15th February 1944 No.2 (C)O.T.U. disbanded what happened to this aircraft between this date and 12th July 1944 when it went to 46 MU at Lossiemouth is unclear. On 20th February 1945 it went to the Bristol Aeroplane Company Ltd. at Filton and was then struck off charge the following day.
