Beaufighter T4732 was built to contract B.41906/39 by Fairey Aviation Ltd. at Heaton Chapel, Stockport and was awaiting collection in May 1941. The aircraft was initially placed in MU store until December 1941 when it was taken on charge by 236 Squadron at Carew Cherition. On 9th February 1942 236 Squadron moved to Wattisham, then to Oulton on 3rd July 1942. Later that month 236 Squadron ceased operating the Beaufighter type and the aircraft eventually found it's way to 2 (c)O.T.U. at Catfoss. As a result of the damage sustained on 12th March 1943 Cat.E/FA damage was the damage assessment and it was written off.
