Beaufighter T3272 at Catfoss airfield.
On 5th March 1943 this No.2 (Coastal) Operational Training Unit aircraft suffered from a tyre bursting on landing at Catfoss, the undercarriage then collapsed and was broken.

Beaufighter T3272 was built to contract B.30264/39 by the Bristol Aeroplane Company Ltd. at Filton and was initially flown to 33 MU at Lyneham on 4th April 1941. Four days later a Cat.B damage assessment was made against it so it was returned to the Bristol Aeroplane Company Ltd. at Filton for a repair in works on 22nd April 1941. On 14th September 1941 it was flown to 46 MU at Lossiemouth and on 11th October 1941 it went into storage at 43 S.L.G. at Leamach. It was taken on charge by No.2 (Coastal) Operational Training Unit at Catfoss on 12th November 1942. As a result of the mishap there on 5th March 1943 Cat.Ac/FA damage was the damage assessment and it was repaired on site. It remained with No.2 (C)OTU unitil being flown to 19 MU at St.Athan on 21st September 1943. On 26th January 1944 it was flown to the Bristol Aeroplane Company Ltd. at Filton and was struck off charge on 30th November 1944.
