Martinet MS553 damaged on take off from Wombleton, further damaged on landing at Dalton airfield.
On 29th December 1943 this 1691 (Bomber) Gunnery Flight aircraft burst a tyre on take off from Wombleton airfield. Returning to it's home airfield of Dalton the aircraft was slightly damaged on landing.

The aircraft was used to test a new drogue release unit at Dalton on 14th March 1944 which proved unsuccessful.
