Martinet MS551 at Dalton airfield.
On 23rd December 1943 this 1691 (Bomber) Gunnery Flight aircraft was in the process of taking off from Dalton airfield for a test flight when the starboard tyre burst. The aircraft began to swing to starboard but the pilot managed to take off. Later the aircraft made a landing at Dalton at 17.00hrs with the undercarriage down but the starboard undercarriage leg collapsed and the aircraft tipped onto it's starboard wing.
