Halifax L9528 at Riccall airfield.
On 14th May 1943 this 1658 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft underwent an inspection and various bolts within the tail oleo assembly were found to be strained. This aircraft was used by 1658 H.C.U. solely for circuits and landings exercises which had put an abnormal strain on the tail wheel assembly.
