Beaufort L4461 at Sherburn in Elmet airfield.

On 8th November 1943 this aircraft was being jacked up at Sherburn in Elmet airfield but without the correct equipment. A piece of wood was being used as a packing splint between the jack and one of the wings and when the jack took the weight of the aircraft the wing was damaged. The aircraft was in the care of No.7 Ferry Pilot Pool, ATA at the time.
