On 14th August 1943 this aircraft swung off the runway on landing at Catfoss airfield at hit an "obstruction" on the airfield. It looks like the starboard undercarriage leg collapsed as the unit ORB mentions the starboard undercarriage superstructure and engine mountings were left broken. I credit the late Mr Eddie Fell with finding out the basic details for many of these 2 (O) OTU / Catfoss airfield mishaps shared with me prior to his untimely death, they form the basic for further research in the future. Getting the basic webpages up and running for these minor incidents is the easy part thanks to his ground work.
