Halifax HZ276 at Leconfield airfield.
On 9th December 1943 this 466 Squadron aircraft was parked at Leconfield airfield when suddenly, at 15.30hrs, the undercarriage collapsed and the aircraft fell on to it's belly. It received damage enough to not warrant a repair. A leak was found in the undercarriage selector box in the cockpit.
No crew.
