Oxford HM673 near South Cave.
On 21st December 1943 the crew of this R.A.F.C. aircraft were flying over the general area of the Humber area when the aircraft lost a propeller, severe vibration resulted to the aircraft and eventually the engine mountings gave way and the engine then also fell away. The pilot managed to force land the aircraft near South Cave but it was badly damaged.
Pilot - Name unknown.
The aircraft had been damaged at Fulbeck on 8th July 1943 when a tyre burst on landing and the undercarriage was damaged.
