Lancaster DS650 at Linton on Ouse airfield. Damage found on inspection.
On 12th August 1943 this 426 Squadron aircraft underwent an inspection at Linton on Ouse airfield and damage was found to the centre section attachment point for port outer plane. The degree of strain was assessed by the manufacturers of the aircraft. This is not a flying accident as such but I include it for completion of the record.
