Halifax DK151 at Rufforth airfield.
At 11.40hrs on 23rd December 1943 this 1663 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft overshot on landing at Rufforth airfield in poor visbility. The undercarriage collapsed and the nose received damage. The aircraft was not repaired. The pilot and his crew were posted to 76 Squadron on 11th January 1944, his crew were probably on board when this mishap occurred on 23rd December 1943.
