Halifax DG418 at Rufforth airfield.
On 1st August 1943 this 1663 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was having it's engines run up on the ground at Rufforth when the No.1 blade on the starboard outer propeller broke off owing to a manufacturing fault. Minor damage to the aircraft resulted.
