Halifax DG399 at Rufforth airfield.
On 14th May 1943 this 1663 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was flown on a training flight. At 00.45hrs the aircraft made a landing in a slight crosswind at Rufforth airfield but was not aligned to the runway. The aircraft ran off the concrete and received damage to the tail wheel assembly.
