On 19th August 1943 this 1520 Beam Approach Training Flight aircraft was being flown on a training flight, while practicing an approach to land when the starboard engine failed in the air. The aircraft was force landed just off Holme on Spalding Moor airfield with the undercarriage retracted. The aircraft was repaired on site by contractors and was test flown on 30th October 1943.
