On 16th December 1943 this aircraft had been flown to Sherburn in Elmet airfield as part of an ATA transit flight and had been parked in a hanger. During the course of moving a mobile crane in the hanger it skidded on the slippery floor and ran into the Barracuda slightly damaging it.
