At 03.14hrs on 14th May 1943 this 18 Operational Training Unit aircraft broke the tail wheel assembly while taxying at Finningley airfield.
Crew - Names unknown.
This aircraft was taken on charge by 428 Squadron on 2nd December 1942 as new before transfer to 18 OTU, prior to 6th June 1943 when it sustained damage on landing at Finningley. The aircraft was repaired after this incident in November 1943 only to be ditched following a fire on a navigation training exercise on 23rd February 1944 off Workington, Cumbria.
