At 17.35hrs on 20th May 1943 this 18 Operational Training Unit aircraft broke the tail wheel assembly at Finningley airfield. Minor damage resulted.

Wellington BK149 was built to contract B.124362/40 by Vickers Armstrong's Ltd. at Hawarden and was delivered to 48 M.U. at Hawarden on 6th December 1942. On 13th April 1943 the aircraft was taken on charge by 18 O.T.U. at Finningley. A few weeks later on 20th May 1943 it sustained minor damage at Finningley. Cat.Ac/FA damage was the damage assessment and it was repaired on site by a team from Vickers. On 29th May 1943 it was returned to 18 O.T.U. charge. On 4th September 1943 a major repair was carried out by Vickers on site and it was returned to 18 O.T.U. charge on 18th September 1943. On 16th October 1944 the aircraft was declared Cat.B during a major repair at Brookland's Aviation Ltd. Sywell. Once servicable it was returned to 18 O.T.U. charge but date it returned is not known. On 29th November 1944 the aircraft was flown to 8 M.U. at Little Rissington. It was then struck off charge on 28th July 1945 during a major repair.
