At 11.20hrs on 22nd June 1943 this 18 Operational Training Unit aircraft suffered the port main tyre burst on landing at Finningley airfield. Cat.B damage was the damage assement which suggests that at least one of the undercarriage legs collapsed and perhaps the aircraft sustained some structural damage as well. The Finningley airfield record book states that the aircraft was disposed of by 58 MU on 1st July 1943. It was transported for repair at the Vickers factory at Weybridge but did not returned to 18 OTU.
