Halifax BB240 at Marston Moor airfield.
On 9th August 1943 this 1652 Heavy Conversion Unit aircraft was taxying at Marston Moor airfield when the port tyre burst upon striking a hedge, it entered swung and the tail wheel assembly was torn off. A light that should have marked the track was knocked over by the preceeding aircraft. Minor Cat.Ac damage resulted and it was repaired.
