On 6th April 1943 this 1613 Target Towing Flight aircraft was flown on three co-operation drogue towing sorties over an anti-aircraft range at Whitby in what was described as adverse weather conditions with a strong and gusty wind blowing. The pilot later struggled to make a landing at Driffield airfield and slightly damaged the starboard wing tip.
