On 5th August 1943 the Lindholme station record book states that a Lancaster burst a tyre on landing at Lindholme at 01.25hrs. The incident is listed in Lindholme's station record book which identifies the aircraft only as "-Z", probably of 1656 Heavy Conversion Unit. Minor damage almost certainly resulted rather than just the wind escaping from a tyre.
