Unidentified flying accident in the Sherburn in Elmet or Ponteract area.
I have yet to obtain any accurate information about this incident. What is currently known is that on 27th December 1943 a flying accident relating to a Sherburn in Elmet aircraft saw a member of the Parachute Regiment AAC being killed. His death was registered in the Pontefract district, but whether this was because he died in Pontefract hospital after an accident nearer Sherburn. I have created this basic webpage and will update it once I find some information.
