On 1st October 1943 this unidentified 432 Squadron aircraft landed at East Moor airfield in a crosswind at 13.45hrs following a training flight. The pilot applied the brakes but they had little effect and it overshot into the boundary hedge. Minor Cat.Ac damage resulted. The incident is logged on an AM Form 1180 but gives the serial as being Wellington "HF456", this cannot be correct as HF456 suffered undercarriage damage only days earlier and cannot have been made servicable so quickly.
