Unidentified aircraft near Temple Hurst, Selby.
At 10.30hrs on 10th April 1943 this unidentified British aircraft is listed in a railway diary sourced by historian Nick Roberts as crashing in the Temple Hurst area and severing telegraph wires. The telegraph communications took five hours to repair. This may well relate to an overshooting aircraft at Burn airfield which left the airfield and crossed the railway line to the east of the airfield.
