On 21st October 1942 this 10 Operational Training Unit aircraft landed at Marston Moor airfield but the reason why is not known. The instructor captaining the aircraft parked it on instruction from the Flying Control Officer. At 13.00hrs the slipstream of a Halifax taking off from Marston Moor slightly damaged the Whitley as it was parked in the wrong place.
