Halifax W1092 at Pocklington airfield.
At 16.45hrs on 14th May 1942 this 405 Squadron was being taxied through a gate at a dispersal point at Pocklington airfield when the lower surface of the tailplane struck the gate post causing minor damage. The gate was too narrow to allow sufficient clearance for the Halifax tail plane to fit through. 405 Squadron were in the process of converting flying from Wellingtons to Halifaxes at the time.
