Blenheim T1810 at Catfoss airfield.

On 6th February 1942 this 2 (Coastal) Operational Training Unit aircraft collided with parked Blenheim K7130 at Catfoss airfield with both aircraft sustaining minor damage.

Pilot - Name unknown.

Blenheim T1810 was built to contract 1485/39 by Rootes Securities Ltd. at Speke and was awaiting collection in June 1940. It was taken on charge the following month by 236 Squadron at Thorney Island and then moved to St.Eval on 8th August 1940 with the unit and to Carew Cheriton on 21st March 1941 again with the unit. On an unknown date it was transferred to 2 (C)OTU at Catfoss. On 6th February 1942 it collided with Blenheim K7130 on the ground at Catfoss sustaining minor Cat.A/FA damage. It was then repaired on site at Catfoss. As a result of the crash on 12th July 1942 Cat.E2/FA Burnt damage was recorded and it was struck off charge.
