Hudson N7254 was built to contract 791587/38 by the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation at Burbank, California, USA and was transported by sea to the UK, arriving at Liverpool Docks in June 1939. It was taken by road to the Lockheed Assembly Division (UK) Ltd. at Speke and assembly and testing. It was taken on charge by 233 Squadron on 26th July 1939. It was later taken on charge by No.6 (C)O.T.U. at Thornaby on 13th March 1942. The incident on 2nd April 1942 saw a Cat.B/FA damage assessment and it was taken away for a repair in works. Once servicable it went to 22 MU on 5th December 1942 and was then taken on charge by No.1 (C)O.T.U. on 8th February 1943. It was in need of a further repair in works after an inspection in June 1943. Once servicable it went to 29 MU and remained in store until being struck off charge on 31st May 1945.
