Wellington DV805 near Linton on Ouse.
On 25th October 1942 this 28 Operational Training Unit aircraft was damaged in some form of incident near Linton on Ouse with the six airmen listed below being slightly injured. The casualty file for the incident does not include any flying accident report. From the casualty information it appears that the crash occurred at 12.45hrs during poor visibility and heavy rain, and after both engines had cut out at 1,000 feet above the ground. Exactly where this incident occurred is not known. The AM Form 78 for Wellington DV805 states that it had a Cat.B/FB damage assessment made on 25th October 1942 and this must relate to the incident. I have no other information.
