Tiger Moth DE405 at Clifton airfield.

On 24th August 1942 this aircraft was parked at Clifton airfield when Mustang AG464 struck it, the Tiger Moth sustained enough damage to have it written off but the Mustang was repaired.

No crew.


The Tiger Moth DE405 was built to contract B20916/39 by Morris Motors Ltd at Cowley and was delivered to RAF M.U. in April 1942. After acceptance it was issued to No.4 Group Communications Flight at Clifton. It sustained Cat.E2/GA damage in the incident detailed above and was not repaired.
