Unidentified Blenheim at Church Fenton airfield.
On 9th February 1942 this 54 Operational Training Unit aircraft was landing at Church Fenton airfield when it swung off the runway and into snow. The aircraft sustained damage but was probably repaired.
Pilot - Sgt Edward Lewis Heath RAF (591562).
Edward Heath received a commission to the rank of P/O on probation on 3rd July 1943 (52614) and rose to F/O on 3rd January 1944 and F/Lt on 3rd July 1945. He remained in the RAF after the war and on 1st July 1954 he was promoted to S/Ldr. He retired from the RAF in April 1969.
