Undentified Oxford at Church Fenton airfield.
On 5th February 1942 this aircraft swung off the runway on landing at Church Fenton airfield and damaged the aircraft after it struck hard snow. The aircraft
was considerably damaged but the pilot was not injured. Nothing more is known of the pilot. At the time of this mishap 54 OTU had the following Oxfords on charge; P9042, T1065, T1082, V3604, V3985, V3988, V3989 and V3990 but none were written off around this date so any damage must have been repaired.
