Unidentified Beaufighter at Church Fenton airfield.
On 17th March 1942 this 54 Operational Training Unit aircraft swung on landing at Church Fenton airfield and came to rest with considerable damage. The incident is briefly recorded in the unit ORB and nothing else is yet known about what happened. The undercarriage probably collapsed.
