Unidentified Halifax at Topcliffe airfield.

For the 15th July 1942 the 102 Conversion Flight ORB states that this aircraft landed in a strong cross wind, a tyre burst and the aircraft sustained minor damage. The aircraft was repaired on site and deemed servicable by 22.00hrs the same day.

Trainee Pilot - F/Sgt D Kent RCAF (R/725206).

Crew - Names unknown.

F/Sgt Kent was soon posted to the parent 102 Squadron and flew a Tour with them. In January 1943 he was posted to 1658 Heavy Conversion Unit to instruct.
