Unidentified Hudson at Thornaby airfield.

On 10th April 1942 this unidentified No.6 (Coastal) Operational Training Unit aircraft is listed in the unit orb as being damaged when the pupil pilot swung off the runway on landing and the undercarriage collapsed, this was almost certainly at their airfield of Thornaby. Two identical incidents occurred on this date by this unit, one at night and one during the day.

Searching through the Hudson AM Form 78's / movement cards I will offer identity suggestions. Hudson V9039, Hudson V9023 and Hudson N7292 all received a Cat.B/FA damage assessment on this date but by No.43 Group D.A. who generally came days or weeks after the date of the actual event.

Crew - Name unknown.
