Blenheim Z6243 near Hornsea.

On 15th November 1941 this 2 (C)O.T.U. aircraft had just taken off from Catfoss airfield at night. The pilot made a turn and the aircraft flew into the ground near Northfield Farm, alongside Bewholme Lane, Hornsea. The aircraft was badly damaged and the pilot was injured.

This aircraft's history is brief, it was built to contract B.119994/40 by A.V.Roe & Co. Ltd, at Chadderton and was awaiting collection in February 1941. The date it was taken on charge by 2 (C)OTU at Catfoss is not known. As a result of the damage sustained on 15th November 1941 Cat.E2/FA damage was recorded.
