On 14th January 1941 this 213 Squadron aircraft spun into the ground near Lockington after control was lost while flying in cloud and the pilot was sadly killed. An

Hurricane V7432 was built to contract 62305/39 by The Hawker Aircraft Company Ltd. at Langley and was awaiting collection in early September 1940.
It was taken on charge later the same month by 151 Squadron at Digby and on 24th September 1940 was declared Cat.R/FA when it collided with Hurricane P3306
whilst carrying out formation practice close to Waddington airfield. P3306 was abandoned safely and crashed near Waddington. V7432 was force landed in a
paddock close to Waddington village. V7432 was then dismantled and transported to the factory at Hawker Aircraft Company Ltd. at Kingston for repair in works.
On completion of the repair and after a short period of MU storage it was taken on charge by 213 Squadron at Leconfield on 29th November 1940. Following
the accident detailed above Cat.E2/FA damage was recorded and the aircraft struck off charge.
