On 11th February 1941 this 213 Squadron aircraft landed at Driffield airfield without the undercarriage being locked down, possibly on the flare-path. The aircraft was later repaired and flew again.

Pilot - Sub Lt Dennis Mayvore Jeram RN.

Hurricane V7006 was built to contract 85730/40/23a by The Gloster Aircraft Company Ltd. at Hucclecote and was awaiting collection in December 1940. It was taken on charge the same month by 213 Squadron at Leconfield who moved to Driffield on 15th January 1941. On 11th February 1941 it sustained minor damage as a result of the accident recorded above and Cat.A/FA damage was sustained. It was repaired on site but by the time repair was complete 213 Squadron had departed Driffield to be based at Castletown so the aircraft was transferred to 56 OTU at Sutton Bridge in the Spring of 1941. In June 1941 it was sent to Hawker Aircraft Ltd for conversion to Mk.IIA status. On completion of this conversion the serial number was changed to DR347 and it was flown into MU storage. On 11th October 1941 it was shipped to Russia and nothing more of it's history after this date is known.
