Blenheim V5807 near Driffield.
On 1st April 1941 the pilot of this 2 (C)OTU aircraft was undertaking a solo night training flight when he flew into trees
near Driffield after becoming disorientated. The aircraft crashed and was destroyed by fire and the pilot sadly was killed.
The exact location for this incident was not known at the time of creating this webpage.

Blenheim V5807 was built to contract 1485/39 by Rootes Securities Ltd. at their shadow factory at Blyth Bridge and was awaiting collection
in January 1941. It was taken on charge by 2(C)OTU shortly after this and Cat.E2/FA(burnt) damage was recorded after the incident recorded above.
