Oxford V3531 near Woodhouse, Sheffield.
On 12th July 1941 the pilot of this 12 F.T.S. aircraft was undertaking a training flight when he became lost after flying in thick cloud, after running low on fuel
in the Sheffield area he baled out and the aircraft crashed into a field near Woodhouse.

Oxford V3531 was built to contract B.55346/39 by The De Havilland Aircraft Co. Ltd. at Hatfield and was awaiting collection in October 1940.
After a lengthy period of MU storage it was taken on charge by 12 FTS at Grantham on 18th April 1941. As a result of the incident on 12th July
1941 Cat.E2/FA damage was recorded and it was written off.
