Tiger Moth T6177 was built to contract 20916/39 by Morris Motors Ltd. at Cowley and was awaiting collection in July 1940. The aircraft was initially delivered to 15 E.F.T.S. at Kingstown later in 1940. The date it was taken on charge by 20 E.F.T.S. at Yeadon in 1941 is not known. As a result of the mishap on 7th July 1941 minor Cat.A/FA damage was the probably damage assessment but this is not recorded on the published Air Britain history of the aircraft. It remained with 20 E.F.T.S. until they disbanded on 9th January 1942. The aircraft next appears on charge with 29 E.F.T.S. at Clyffe Pypard and remained with them until being struck off charge on 12th February 1945.
