Tiger Moth T5491 (probably) at Forest Farm airfield.
The 54 Operational Training Unit ORB briefly states that on 24th April 1941 this aircraft stalled while making a night landing at 00.25hrs and sustained considerable damage. Unfortunately the orb does not state the location. It may have been at Church Fenton airfield where the unit were based but I doubt this as they only appear to have undertaken training with twin engined aircraft there, 54 O.T.U. also used Forest Farm airfield (near Scorton) for Tiger Moth training during April 1941 so would fit for the location. I need to see the AM Form 1180 for the incident if it still exists to obtain additional information.
